Our History
Since 1941 the Bigfork Fire Department has been delivering critical emergency service to the citizens of the greater Bigfork area. This has been a long and proud history of exceptional service to our community and area citizens. Bigfork has been, and is, a very progressive, positive, and encouraging place to operate and deliver emergency services.
Our over-arching goal is to provide the best emergency service possible to our community.

Our Mission
The Bigfork Fire mission is “We will work towards reducing the need for emergency service response by emphasizing fire and accident prevention while emphasizing individual and community safety, and will train to be ready to provide the best emergency response services possible for those in need.” It is a priority to deliver the very best Customer Service to our customers. Our human and technical skills are the foundation of Bigfork Fire. The value we place on technical and human skills is the same. Membership in the Bigfork Fire family carries with it a host of responsibilities and expectations; the awareness and commitment to meeting them will ensure the fulfillment of our mission.
“Customer Service Excellence” is a goal of Bigfork Fire. Accomplishing this goal requires commitment, planning, practice, creativity, leadership, smart application, networking and continual refinement.
